Outback Steakhouse Creative Direction | Illustration | Advertising
In early 2017, I joined a small group of Temple University advertising students tasked with creating a national campaign for Outback Steakhouse. At the beginning of the semester we were assigned our group and handed a brief. At the end of the semester we pitched not only our campaign, but also our mock-advertising-agency brand—Fling & Pitch—to three Outback executives. I led the team of six by functioning as Creative Director and the Project Manager. During meetings I kept our creative brainstorms on track and made sure the ideas were flowing into one cohesive idea. I designed the entire agency brand, campaign visual identity, plansbook, and presentation. Follow this link to see the entire campaign plansbook PDF. |
SnappleArt Direction | Data Visualization | P.O.P. Advertising
In early 2016, I competed in the National Student Adverting Competition as part of a select group of 19 of Temple University's brightest advertising students; our task was to create a national campaign for the popular juice and tea brand, Snapple. I was one of four students majoring in art direction on the team. We split up the work according to our strengths and I was appointed to lead the design of the Media section of the plansbook and the Point of Purchase section of the creative execution of the campaign. I also worked closely with the lead designer of the overall plansbook to make sure the Adobe InDesign file was organized and ready to send to the printer. After 13 weeks of hard work—from initial brainstorming stages to our final presentation—we pitched this campaign to a panel of judges in New York City. We placed 4th overall regionally against 18 other schools. Follow this link to see the entire campaign plansbook PDF. |
Crown Fried ChickenConcept Campaign | Branding Overhaul | Digital Design | Logo Design
I used to live in Brooklyn on the same block as a Crown Fried Chicken and the lack of brand consistency throughout the franchise always annoyed me. Since every store location looked different and the logo on the awning looked different from what was on the website, I figured that doing a complete overhaul wouldn't be too much of a stretch and might get some attention. It was very important to me that the brand presented uniformly on all digital platforms, so I mocked up the website, newsletter, and social media accounts. I worked with a team to devise a new digital strategy for the client. Sean, Martin, and Carney helped me research and analyze the current situation, and my designs reflected the groups conclusions. |
Deke's Bar-B-QueConcept Campaign | Outdoor/Print Advertising | Website Design
This project began with the objective of designing a responsive website for a local food joint and grew into a whole new advertising campaign. Using Deke's existing phrases, I paired typography and found images to create a compelling 'Call to Action' for my fellow Philadelphians. |
Philly Ad News "Economic Impact Report" Infographics
This was a freelance project that I was hired to work on for the Philly Ad Club's publication, Philly Ad News. These images accompanied an in-depth article in the March/April 2017 issue of the magazine. I worked closely with the economist who did the research for the article in order to come up with effective ways to communicate his findings.
